Opening ceremony and press conference of Altay Museum of the Origin of Human Skiing

The Altay Museum of the Origin of Human Skiing grandly opened in 2025.

It marks a significant milestone in China's ice and snow culture. Nestled beneath the majestic Altay Mountains, the museum centers around the theme of "The Origin of Skiing," showcasing the unique role of the Altay region in the history of skiing.

The museum boasts a rich collection that includes ancient fur-covered skis, replicas of rock paintings, traditional ethnic attire, and modern skiing equipment. Through interactive technology and immersive exhibitions, visitors can vividly experience the evolution of snowfield civilization over thousands of years.

The museum is not only a sanctuary for cultural heritage, but also a dynamic platform for promoting ice and snow tourism and fostering international exchange. During the opening ceremony, distinguished guests from various sectors gathered to witness this historic moment together.

We sincerely thank Mr. Shan and the Altay Municipal Government for their kind invitation, which gave us the opportunity to personally take part in this cultural celebration that blends history, art, and technology. The inauguration of the Altay Museum will share with the world a story about snow, about humanity, and about the spirit of exploration.
